Dharani is a young ruffian from Veerlapally who steals coal for a living in 1995. He lives with his grandmother and spends most of his time with Suri and Vennela, his best friends. Dharani has loved Vennela since they were children, but Vennela prefers Suri. He gives up his love for her and decides to marry the couple. However, the trio's lives are disrupted by village politics, and Suri is mysteriously murdered on the day of his marriage to Vennela. Dharani, thirsty for vengeance, embarks on a crusade to track down the perpetrators.
